Banky W Bags N140m Samsung Deal

After almost two years of being a Samsung Brand Ambassador, R&B star, Olubankole Wellington, better known as Banky W, has signed his second deal with the leading electronic and convergence technology company, Samsung Electronics West Africa.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the new deal is valued at N140 million. With this sum, Banky W along with Nollywood star, Kate Henshaw will be the face of Samsung Electronics West Africa Mobile Division. They will work together to raise awareness for Samsung mobile products and ultimately contribute to making Samsung phones the preferred brand in the West African sub-region.

Banky W, the Empire Mates Entertainment Chairman, is not slowing down this year as his list of numerous achievements continues to grow. He has also signed endorsement deals with brands such as Etisalat and Coca-Cola. “It pleases me to know that my hard work is recognised and appreciated in different corporate sectors and industries. This is my second run as a Samsung brand ambassador and I’m grateful for the opportunity,” he said.

Along with major achievements in his stable including his selection as one of Nigeria’s representatives to lift the Olympic Torch in 2012, the singer and songwriter is set to treat fans to an intimate concert this Valentine as he unveils his hugely anticipated album of the year titled “R&BW”.

The concert will hold at The Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, 15 February and it will feature the EME star team, Wizkid, Skales, Niyola, Shaydee and DJ Exclusive led by Banky W himself, along with some of Nigeria’s biggest names such as Wande Coal, Darey, Tiwa Savage, Bez, Blacky and Faze.

Other star performers include Lynxxx, Sound Sultan, Iyanya, Praiz, Omawumi, Waje, J Martins, May D, Chidinma among many others. There will also be appearances by some of Nigeria’s hottest comedians.

There will also be special guest appearance at the special Valentine concert by Don Jazzy and Yvonne Nelson as well as other special surprises.
