Cristiano Ronaldo’s Girlfriend In More Hot Appealing Photos

Irina Shayk is as fit as ever as she strips off for sizzling ads. Sometime ago we gave you some pictures of her displaying what moma gave her and truth be told, she doesn’t seem to be interested in getting cold. Check out those pictures below.

Cristiano Ronaldo s girlfriend Irina Shayk launches the new Xti Shoes Collection
The Russian model is at her sizzling best in the stunning promos but is steering attention away from the footwear she’s plugging.
Irina fires piercing eyes at the camera as she perches on the floor in a cleavage-enhancing bra, knickers, sheer open shirt and a pair of peep-toe heels.
Her tousled locks cascade over her left shoulder as she crosses her legs and rests on her hands.

In another ad, Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend stands up to show off her flat tummy and smooth armpit in a red two-piece.
Launching the new Xti shoes collection, she holds a pump in her left hand.

An equally arresting image features the catwalk siren in a metallic set as she again rests her peachy booty on the ground.
She raises a forefinger toward her mouth for added heart-quickening effect.

Irina also models some sandals in a spotted two-piece, leaning her head sideways to flaunt her flowing locks.
A pair of green wedges struggle to take centre stage in another pic, courtesy of her frilly undies.

And her slender, skyscraper pins are given a full outing as she models high heels.
The beautiful pin-up adds a jacket to the mix, but it is her legs that grab the attention.

3 Female Students Beaten To Coma For Stealing Underwear In Delta

61fcf68ae5a9d867658273e688631c9e
Angry market women yesterday beat three female undergraduates to coma at the popular Asaba Ogbegonogo market, in Delta State for allegedly stealing various pants at the boutique line.

Eyewitness said that the suspects were caught with the pants after they had pretended to be customers and paid for two different ones selected from the hangers.

It was gathered that the suspects’ who are undergraduates of the state owned university were said to be regular visitors to the market.
But the trust the traders have in them as regular customers evaporated when one of them, a 200 level mass communication student (names withheld) sought to be accompanied to where they could buy good pants and the suspects paid for two packets of mixed coloured pants and in the process allegedly removed three other packets alongside the ones they bought.

Luck however ran out on them as the trader suddenly noticed the removal of some packets from where they were displayed.

They were said to have been beaten severely by the angry market women who raced to the scene of the incident. Police authorities at the ‘A’ Division Asaba confirmed the incident.

4-year old girl raped to death

BY CHIDI NKWOPARA, OWERRI.
The Anti Crime Squad of Imo State Police Command has arrested a 30-year old man, Onyebuchi Ejimkonye, for allegedly raping a four-year old girl, Chinasa Dickson, to death.
The poor little girl was on her way to school when she was ambushed by Ejimkonye, who mercilessly subjected her to a marathon sex in a nearby bush and she died on the spot.
The police equally rescued a 15-year old girl, Miss Odinaka Chukwu, who was abducted by suspected ritualist and taken to a shrine a forth-night ago.
Parading Ejimkonye in Owerri, Thursday, the State Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr. Mohammed Musa Katsina, however said that although the ritualist is now on the run, his identity has been known and the police is trailing him.
On the death of little Chinasa, the CP explained that some villagers, who were passing close to the scene of the crime sensed that something fishy was going on and sought to find out what it was.
“Ejimkonye, who hails from one of the communities in Oru East local council area of Imo State, was on the verge of burying the little girl in a shallow grave when he was nabbed by the villagers”, the CP said.
According to the Imo police boss, the villagers quickly alerted his men, adding that the suspect was arrested on the spot.
“The lifeless body of the unfortunate child has been recovered but post mortem examination was yet to be conducted”, the CP recounted with grief.
Answering questions from journalists, Ejimkonye gave a graphic account of how he committed the heinous crime but blamed the entire incident on “devil’s work”.
In a similar development, Mr. Katsina disclosed that a gang of dare devil kidnappers, led by one Alaribe Martin Uche, from Ngor Okpala local government area, has been smashed.
“Our operative, on a credible tip off, stormed their hideout. On seeing the police, the hoodlums engaged our men in a gun duel. This led to the killing of Alaribe on the spot and the recovery of their operational vehicle”, Katsina said.
Additionally, the Imo police chief said a 75-year old man from Aniocha, Delta State, who was kidnapped in Ohaji/Egbema local council area, has been rescued after exchange of fire with the hoodlums.
“One of them, who fled in the process but later resurfaced, has been arrested. His confessional statement took the police to Rivers State, where his colleagues in crime were arrested”, the CP said.

Niger Delta ex-militants riot in Bayelsa

OKAFOR OFIEBOR/PORT HARCOURT
Niger Delta ex-militants

Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital was thrown into pandemonium today as residents ran for cover when about 400 former militants protested the allocation of training slots to them.
A car parked along Otiotio road was razed and the windscreens of no fewer than 12 cars were smashed.
Shops were randomly looted on this road and Mbiama-Yenagoa at Yenezuegene axis of the state capital.
This forced panicky shop owners the area hurriedly close their business premises. The panic caused a traffic gridlock, with many owners of vehicles caught up in the melee, abandoned them right on the road.
The quick intervention of the operatives of the Joint Military Taskforce(JTF), anti-riot policemen, members of the State Security Outfit,”Operation Doo Akpor “and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps to the scene restored some order.

Lt. Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu , the spokesman for the Joint Task force confirmed that the violence had been brought under control.

President Goodluck Jonathan last year approved training courses for 3,642 ex-militants, under the amnesty programme.
The violent protest started in the area when the Inter-Agency Taskforce headed by Air Vice Marshall Gbum on a verification exercise of ex-militants in the state reportedly told them that 15 guns submitted by a militant camp would be entitled to one training slot.
The ex-militants rejected the allocation formula.

Daniel Alabrah, the Spokesman of the Presidential Amnesty Office condemned the protest by the ex-militants, noting that the destruction of the vehicles was lawless and unnecessary.

Alabrah clarified that the Amnesty Office had no hand in the allocation of slots to the ex-militants, stressing that the Inter- Security Agency would only recommend number of slots to them after its verification exercise.
It was learnt that the Taskforce was appointed by the Chief of Defence Staff to determine arms submitted by the reformed militants.

One of the ex-militant leaders, who gave his name as Tonye Bobo, rejected the proposed 15 guns to each slot. He posited that all the ex-militants who had surrendered arms to embrace amnesty should be given a slot in the amnesty programme.

He said:” The federal government should abide by the agreement reached between late President Umaru Yar’Adua and the ex-militant leaders. The proposed 15 guns to one slot is unacceptable to us.”
“General” Ebi John, one of the ex-militant leader expressed reservation on the controversial slots proposed to the ex-militants, as he threatened more violence for the federal government.

Senior Nigerian lawyer stripped of privileges

Chief Ajibola Aribisala: stripped of SAN and privileges
Published on February 26, 2013 by   ·   3 Comments
Chief Ajibola Aribisala, a senior advocate of Nigeria has been stripped of the title and the privileges attached to it.
The Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC) announced this sanction today, on the heels of earlier sanctions announced by the National Judicial Council against two judges, Charles Archibong and Thomas Naron.
A statement issued by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court and Secretary of the LPPC, Mr. Sunday Olorundahunsi said Aribisala was barred courtesy of a petition filed by Fidelity Bank Plc.

“The LPPC at its meeting held today the 26th day of February 2013, considered the petition by Fidelity Bank against the person of Chief Ajibola A. Aribisala, SAN together with his response to same and after due consideration of the said response has decided in its wisdom to suspend him (i.e. Chief Ajibola A. Aribisala) from the use of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria and all other privileges attached to that rank pending the outcome of the court case and impeding investigation by the Sub- Committee set up by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee,” the statement said.

The statement did not give details of the petition by Fidelity Bank.
Aribisala is the second top lawyer to be sanctioned by the LPPC. Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Michael Aondoakaa had earlier suffered the same fate.
Last year, Aribisala sued Access Bank asking to be paid N2billion as fees for debt collection, after pocketing N173million for similar service for the bank.

He lost the case and was asked to pay N300,000 cost to Access Bank.
Aribisala graduated from the University of Lagos in 1983 and the Law School a year after. He became a SAN 20 years after.

His chambers, AOS, introduces Aribisala as an expert in the “practice of property law in Nigeria and is quite renowned for his debt recovery and insolvency expertise”

Ladipo Market: Arrested Bakassi Boys To Face Trial

 Weapons found in their possession
Twelve suspected members of the Bakassi Boys arrested on Monday at Ladipo Market, Mushin in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria will soon be charged to court.
The suspected Bakassi Boys, who were allegedly terrorising traders at the Ladipo Market, were arrested by officials of the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit shortly after the closure of the market due to filth and degradation of the environment on Monday.
Some of the suspects arrested are Chibike Eze, Monday Chukwu, Obinna Ibe, Ndubuisi Ezinwane, Samson Ape and Tochi Kinsley.
The items recovered from the suspects include over 10 cutlasses, knives, charms and rings, among others.
Taskforce Chairman, Bayo Sulaiman, Chief Superintendent of Police, said the suspects would be charged to court soon for the law to take its due course.
“They initially dared us by showing us their charms and we are also aware that they have weapons. We are going to charge them to court,” he said.
Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Olatunde Adepintan had told the taskforce that criminals and suspected members of Bakassi Boys were living inside the market.
Sulaiman said the suspects, allegedly armed with weapons, dared the police to enter the market before they were arrested inside the Aguiyi Ironsi Spare Parts Market, a section of the market.
P.M.NEWS learnt that the taskforce officials forced the massive gate to the market open as it was shut from inside by the suspected hoodlums.
The police, however, called for reinforcement as they got wind that the suspects were armed with guns and dangerous weapons.
As the police gained entrance into the market, one of the hoodlums brought out a knife and challenged them. But when the hoodlums realised that they were outnumbered by the police, they attempted to escape, but 12 of the 18 suspects were arrested.
One of the suspects, Eze, denied that they were members of Bakassi Boys.
He said that they were security men hired by Jonathan Okorie.
He said the cutlasses and the charms recovered from them were used for security purposes.
“We were 18 but some of us have fled. I am not a criminal. I am here to secure this market. Since I came here, I have been sleeping in this market,” he said.
Meanwhile traders of Ladipo Market are complaining about the closure of the market.
The traders who were dispersed by the taskforce officials with several canisters of teargas said they were caught unawares as they never expected the market to be shut without notice.
A trader, who craved anonymity, told P.M.NEWS: “We don’t like the closure.  This will cause suffering. We came in this morning (yesterday) and met our market shut and the police stopped us from entering. No notice was given to us and what are we going to do now?”
Another trader simply identified as Nduibuisi, appealed to government to re-open the market as the traders would lose lots of money.
Taskforce Chairman, Sulaiman said the state government had lots of issues with the market, ranging from hooliganism, lack of toilet facilities, degradation of the environment with diesel and fuel as well as traders in the market turning themselves in to another government.
“We came here two weeks ago, but the officials of the market did not show up. There was street trading and there are lots of shanties here. We will make sure that this time around, proper sanitation is done by the traders before this market will be re-opened and they have to submit to the chairman of Mushin Local Government,” he stated.

The Joke is on Chief Tony Anenih: In Cartoon

A character cartoon by a Nigerian about Chief Tony Anenih, the chairman of the Nigeria Ports Authority and now Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees.
Apart from his age, close to 80 years, his public service records certainly do not recommend him for all the exalted positions that ‘Africa’s largest’ political party has been bestowing on him.

Will the media rise to the marathon election challenge?

Julia Gillard said some fascinating things to the National Press Club in Canberra this week.
Weekly travel times to work in capital cities has increased by up to an hour and a half a week in the past decade.
Australia has risen from the 15th largest economy in the world in the late 2000s to be 12th today.
David Forman
Individually, we are on average wealthier than Britons, Japanese, Italians and Belgians.
Orthodox economics cannot explain why the Australian dollar remains high in the face of falling interest rates and declining terms of trade.
Australian households have moved from saving nothing before the Global Financial Crisis to now saving 10 percent of household income.
She spoke about how the Government was trying to re-engineer the business of economic management in these strange days.
Then she announced the election date.
The speech set the context for what amounted to a plea by the Prime Minister to the media to talk about facts and policy and not gossip and personalities, at least until the election campaign proper.
She was rewarded in the subsequent Q&A sessions by a press gallery whose questions started with a focus on facts but soon veered into trivia such as who she spoke to before making her decision (surprise, pretty much the same circle of people as every other Prime Minister in living memory, as it turned out) and penetrating observations such as a declaration that she had announced a 227-day campaign. Which in fact was the opposite of what she had repeatedly said was her intention.
The groans of exasperation from the non-media audience were palpable.
The reporting in the first 24 hours since the announcement was equally disheartening.
Every Government thinks the Opposition gets away with being policy-light, with the exception of the Keating Government that went into the 1993 election having been gifted a comprehensive policy program centred on the GST by the John Hewson-led Opposition. Tony Abbott, having been an adviser to Hewson, would no doubt have a vivid memory of how that turned out.
Nonetheless, for anyone who bothers to look, there is an enormous amount of information published by the Opposition about their policy agenda. Sure, there are no detailed costings, but, honestly, how many in the media would independently analyse that information even if it was released?
What they have done is provide details about the issues they will deal with as priorities, the principles they will bring to these issues, and even their alternative vision of government. Across most portfolio areas, the Opposition has had plenty to say that can be analysed and questioned.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for the mainstream media to get around to doing it though. Nor for them to report the policy actions of the Government.
The disconnect between the concerns and interests of the Australian community and the press gallery crystallised last year in the reaction to the now famous misogyny speech by the Prime Minister. It was followed by weeks of introspection, self analysis and hand wringing from an embarrassed media.
But what’s changed? Politics is still reported as a horse race or personality contest, and Australians continue to turn to the online world to vent their spleen and frustration.
Maybe the problem is that the media is so diminished that it is actually incapable of doing that job anymore.
So, here’s an early election prediction. The media will not rise to the challenge. It will happily throw the switch to campaign mode, drive us all insane by being reflexively inane, and, worse, moan about it as though it’s someone else’s fault.

Rihanna Defends Chris Brown As She Expresses Her Feelings On Their Relationship!!!

Rihanna has been in Hawaii celebrating her 25th birthday with her boo Chris Brown.
Although, there has been the ‘erroneous intention’ that Chris is mean and bestial since his 2009 assault on RiRi, the Barbadian songstress has defended him. In a recent interview with Mirror Magazine, Rihanna defends her ex now current boyfriend, and explains why she took him back after he was convicted of assaulting her after a pre-Grammy’s party in 2009.  “It’s different now,” she explains. “We don’t have those types of arguments any more. We talk about [stuff]. We value each other.”

When it’s speculated that Chris doesn’t exactly seem like he’s changed, by losing his temper in public, Rihanna says:

“I know it comes off like that, And it doesn’t help. For a long time he was really angry, there’s so many reasons why I even reconsidered having him in my life. He’s not the monster everyone thinks. He’s a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He’s giving and loving. And he’s fun to be around. That’s what I love about him – he always makes me laugh.”

She’s clearly forgiven Chris, and her dad has too – and she even reveals she wants babies. “Hell yeah, but I wish I could order them,” she says. Yeah right… We birth babies RiRi, we don’t buy them.

Basketmouth acquires custom made Insignia car; 1st person in Africa to own it

One of the biggest comedians to come out of Africa, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth has just taken delivery of the 2013 Opel Insignia car.

I heard from a close source to the comedian that it’s a bespoke car, meaning that everything was built to Basketmouth’s specification. The car is actually not sold at any showroom in the world…you can only order it.
And Basketmouth’s car I hear, is the only one that has been ordered in Africa. That means no one else has this car in Africa. The car sells for about 42 thousand pounds.
Now that’s big! Wow! Congrats Basket!!!

Nigerian Yahoo Boy On FBI’s most wanted list, Tobechi Onwuhara Apprehended In Australia

Finally Tobechi Onwuhara has been apprehended. Took them Five years though, but you can never hide for long i guess. He’s sure spending the rest of his life behind bars.
He owned a hip hop record label and he lived the high life of luxury hotels, gambling, strippers and bling. But behind the glitz and the glamour Tobechi Enyinna Onwuhara was one of the FBI’s most wanted men, allegedly a fraudster who scammed at least $44 million through cyber crimes.
But the advanced con artist, who fled Florida in August 2008 amid an intense FBI investigation, has been caught in Sydney and sent back to the US to face a string of fraud charges.
Nigerian-born Tobechi Onwuhara, 33, was “provisionally arrested in response to a request from the United States Government” in December last year, according to a spokeswoman for the Australian Attorney-General’s department.
Mr Onwuhara is to face prosecution in the US for fraud related offences, including identity fraud and computer fraud, the spokeswoman said.
“On January 29, the Minister for Justice [Jason Clare] made a determination to surrender Mr Onwuhara to the US.
“As a matter of long standing practice, the Australian government does not comment on working matters,” she said.
Fairfax Media understands Mr Onwuhara had lived it up in Sydney after disappearing in August 2008.
The FBI’s website now lists Mr Onwuhara as captured, but with scant detail of the arrest. They were offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
The source who tipped off Fairfax said Mr Onwuhara had made regular trips to The Star casino as well as splashing cash at many popular nightclubs.
“He would bet at the Star under a different name, he was a regular, then one day he just disappeared and someone told us he wanted by the FBI,” a source said.
A spokeswoman for Echo entertainment, owner of The Star, did not return calls and emails. The US Consulate in Sydney also did not return calls.
An Australian Federal Police spokesperson confirmed the AFP arrested Mr Onwuhara.
According to the FBI’s most wanted list Mr Onwuhara is wanted for his alleged involvement in an elaborate scheme that defrauded the financial industry out of tens of millions of dollars.
“Onwuhara is a key member of a group of Nigerians who allegedly have conducted fraudulent banking activities from Florida and Texas, since 2005,” the FBI’s most wanted website states.
“It is alleged that the group has used online internet databases to steal victims’ identities.
“Once acquired, they allegedly use the victims’ information to gain access to the victims’ ‘Home Equity Line of Credit’ accounts and wire transfer the money to accounts mainly located overseas, some in the United States.”
Some of Onwuhara’s alleged co-conspirators have been arrested, inside and outside of the United States, the FBI’s website states.
Onwuhara was charged federally with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and a federal call for was issued for his arrest by the US District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, on August 1, 2008.

Tiger Woods and Ex Wife Elin Nordegren Reunite, Photographed for First Time in Years

Time heals all wounds. Tiger Woods** and ex-wife Elin Nordegren** were photographed together for the first time in years on Saturday, Feb. 23 — reuniting in Jupiter, FL with their daughter Sam, 5, and Charlie, 4. As first revealed by TMZ, the golfer, 37, and former model, 33, were snapped strolling alongside one another at an event for a local youth sport organization.
According to TMZ, Woods arrived first with the kids, with Nordegren joining the trio about an hour later. Although their six year marriage ended bitterly and quite publicly in 2010 — following the late 2009 revelations of Woods’ many, many affairs with other women** — TMZ reports that the couple happily chatted with one another for about half an hour and “appeared to enjoy each other’s company.”
The celebrated golfer, for his part, has moved on, romantically speaking. Woods has been quietly dating Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn for several months, even dispatching his private jet to retrieve Vonn, 28, from Austria following a serious injury. “Their friendship slowly turned into a relationship,” an insider claims.

The 2013 Oscars brought some memorable moments both on and off the stage. On stage, Seth MacFarlane kicked of the 85th annual Academy Awards show Sunday, Feb. 24 with a joke about Rihanna and Chris Brown**’s turbulent romance. On the red carpet, Anne Hathaway**’s sideboob-baring Prada gown quickly inspired the Twitter account HathawayNipple.
Of course, the award ceremony was also filled with unforgettable speeches by Best Supporting Actor Christoph Waltz, Best Supporting Actress Hathaway, Best Actress Jennifer Lawrence, Best Actor Daniel Day-Lewis and Best Picture winner Ben Affleck** for Argo.
Relive the biggest, buzziest moments from the 2013 Oscars below.
1. Anne Hathaway’s Red Carpet Dress Inspires “Nipple” Twitter
Anne Hathaway thankfully didn’t have a wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet outside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the Oscars. But the 30-year-old frontrunner for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nevertheless caused immediate comment online for her sidebood-baring Prada gown. “It was the one that spoke to me,” she said.
2. Seth MacFarlane Jokes About Rihanna, Chris Brown “Violence” in Opening Monologue
Yep, Seth MacFarlane went there. The first-time host, 39, was eager to push the envelope with his opening monologue. Recapping the year’s honored films, the Family Guy creator discussed Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, and managed to invoke the music world’s most controversial couple.
3. Jennifer Lawrence Falls on Steps as She Wins Best Actress Oscar
And just like that, Jennifer Lawrence is immortalized — goofily! — in Oscar history. The 22-year-old star won the Best Actress Academy Award and suffered every actress’ nightmare while ascending the stage: She face-planted! Tripping on her sizable frock, the blonde fell down on the steps, and was quickly helped up.
4. Ben Affleck Wins Best Picture Oscar for Argo, Thanks Wife Jennifer Garner: Marriage Is “Work, But It’s the Best Work There Is”
Ben Affleck walked away from the 2013 Oscars with one heck of a consolation prize for his Best Director snub. The Argo filmmaker and his team captured the night’s top award, beating out eight other nominees, including Lincoln and Silver Linings Playbook, for Best Picture.
5.
Sunday night’s Oscar Awards turned out to be one long evening of tributes to music in film, and no such night would have been complete without a nod to Tom Hooper’s film adaptation of Broadway epic Les Miserables. The star-studded cast of the film descended upon the Oscars stage, to give a rousing ensemble performance of “One Day More.”
6.
Dancing with the stars, Oscars-style! Seth MacFarlane kicked off the 2013 Academy Awards with a little fancy footwork and some help from two of Hollywood’s hottest celebs — Channing Tatum** and Charlize Theron.
7.
Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet in a floor-length gown, glittery jewels, and one very odd accessory. The Twilight actress, 22, was spotted hobbling out of her car with a set of crutches for an unspecified injury before dropping them to pose for cameras.

PhotoNews: Fashion Dilemma, See Uche Jombo Struggling to walk in High Heels

Despite advice from fashion experts that if you must wear high heels, then make sure it is one you are comfortable in you still find many ladies turning deaf ears to that advice only to step out of their houses in all manners of high heel shoes thereby causing unnecessary discomfort and even embarrassment for themselves just like talented actress, Uche
Jombo who came to an event recently in a particular high heel which made it very difficult for her to walk.
Her dressing was fabulous, her blue gown particularly accentuated her curves, but all eyes were on her for the wrong reason, the high
heels! Uche Jombo limped all the way from the red carpet to the inside of the event hall.

It is one of those evenings when you feel bone-weary and dead tired. The evening when you wonder why schooling was compulsory. Evenings when you felt like going ahead and quitting school. Yes, I was that tired. I just finished lectures for the day, and was already looking forward to the weekend. Who ever drew up my time table for me is really a sadist. 8am-6pm lectures virtually everyday and I have only one hour of break daily. Damn, my school is just ‘weird’ like that. Well, maybe it’s because I’m a fresher and, I was not really expecting this.
I’m the last-born of my mother and I was born with a silver spoon. But, I was neither over-pampered nor spoilt. I gained admission immediately after college, so I feel I’m of the privileged ones. I thought I was going to a private university, but my dad wanted me to experience the real university life. I’m not regretting it though, because I’m enjoying this place except for the rather too hectic academic schedule. Physically, I can say I’m beautiful. And, that has not made me lack suitors.
I just had my bath, and I am lying down on my bed, reading a paperback novel. Not my choice though, I’m hungry and someone is using my hot-plate to cook. Before I go further, let me explain that I reside on-campus, in my School Hostel. It’s divided into male and female hostel, with six students per room or eight students per room depending on how much you pay. My room is the 6-students per room type and the occupants are a mixture of all levels. 2 freshers, 1 sophomore, one 300-level, one 400l and one 500l.
My room is a community on its own. There are three types of roommates, the church going ones, the ‘runs’ and party ones and those in between. I fall in-between, because I know that, I create time to attend church service, and I tend to party, but not too much. My closest roommate and my best friend in school is my bunk mate who is also a fresher. Her name is Dunni, but I always call her ‘Bunkie’- a common nickname for bunkmates. She’s beautiful, tall with nice carriage, in her 1st year, and we are in the same department- Microbiology.
My Bunkie is in the next room gisting or rather, gossiping. My remaining four roommates were all inside the room. Two of them are dressing up, awaiting their boyfriend to pick them up and the remaining two, preparing for night vigil. Going to church is also on my mind, but I know that going for night vigil, without eating is suicidal. I could just faint during service and they would think I was in the ‘spirit’.
Deeply engrossed in the novel I was reading, the door suddenly flew open and my Bunkie came rushing into the room. She scooted straight to my side, excitement was clearly written on her face.
“Helen, Helen”. She said breathlessly. By now, I was really getting annoyed; hunger combined with tiredness is not a state in which I love suspense on any kind.
“Catch your breath and talk when you are balanced.” I went back to reading my novel. She plucked it out of my hands and said “Tunji called me.” I was like ‘so’? “He called you, so what? ”
Tunji is a very popular guy in school, a classic example of TDH. So, I was only trying to dampen her mood because I really had the hots for him. Curiosity took the best part of me.
“What did he say?”
“He just wanted to greet me. And he wished me a happy weekend”.
“Just that? By the way, how did he get your number?”
She looked confused, then she shrugged “I don’t know. Obviously, he went a long way to get it.”
My other roommate in 500l, Oyinda, looked at her with concern clearly written on her face. “You better stay clear of that guy. He is a womanizer, and he breaks hearts for fun.”
Dunni retorted, “is it just that, or were you hoping he would one day ask you out?”
I gasped, “Haba, bunkieee!!!!”
Oyinda simply shook her head and went about preparing for church.
My bunkiee was clearly angry and she beckoned on me to follow her outside. Sighing, I dropped the novel, adjusted the bum short I was wearing, wore a slippers and I followed her outside half-willingly.
“Can you imagine what she said? I knew she never liked me, but to speak evil about someone you never met, haba. May God forgive us”. I kept mute and we passed through the corridor in silence. We got outside and she turned to me. “Tunji said he is coming to take me out and I said ok”.
I turned in surprise, now my turn to get angry, “Why did you say he just called to greet you? Why did you lie?”
She looked at me with sorry eyes “I did not mean to, I did not want to say it in the room”.
Nodding without understanding anything, I paused and asked, “Ok, where are you going to and are you coming back tonight?”
“It all depends on him, he only told me to get dressed.” I looked at her, considering the implications. I told her “are you sure you are safe with him, remembering that you don’t even know him.”
She replied “Since you will be with me, he wouldn’t try anything funny.”
Looking surprised, “Who said anything about following you? What makes you think I don’t have plans?”
She looked at me with pleading eyes. “Please, just this once. And I will be indebted to you”.
“Ok, I will follow you. But, next time consult me before scheduling anything for me.”
“Thanks.”

We went inside to have our bath and change our clothes. In the bathroom, I looked at the mirror and told myself “I hope this turns out for good.” I changed into a tank top and a jeans. Applying little make up, so as not to over-shadow Dunni in terms of beauty, after all, it was her date. I was barely through when Dunni came into the room and told me Tunji is around.
We both went out, met Tunji by the car and I was surprised to see that he came with a friend. My brain started thinking up some possibilities, but I ignored it and exchanged pleasantries, Dunni said, “Hello Tunji, meet my friend Helen”. We shook hands and he introduces me to his friend. “Helen,Dunni, meet my friend Mayowa.” Shaking hands again, we exchanged small talks to lighten the mood. Then, Tunji asked “Are we all set to go?”
I answered. “Please give us a minute.” Pulling my Bunkie away, I asked her “Did you know he was coming with a friend? And, did he ask you to come with a friend?” Looking fugitively, she nodded and said “I’m sorry. I did not know how to tell you. Please don’t be angry.”
I shook my head and we both went back to meet them. We trooped into the car.
I looked out the window and saw array of lights as we passed by Tunji drove the car while Dunni sat at the passenger side. Mayowa & I were sitting in the back. My mind kept wondering the hell am I doing here I should be back at my hostel eating dinner or lying on my bed reading a very nice novel but here I am; in a car with two guys I hardly know.
“What’s up” Mayowa said snapping me back to the present. I turn to look at Mayowa. I can say am surprised it took him this long to talk to me because the two in front already hit it the moment we entered into the car. “I’m good” was my instant reply to him. I looked at him and I said to my self “He really is good looking, nice chiseled face with nice teeth and a lovely dimple.”
“Don’t worry we will soon get there” He said in a low voice out of the corner of my eyes. I saw Dunni laughing heartily without any care in the world. I turned my face back to face the windows. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn’t notice that the car was slowing down. The car finally stopped at the front of a club that seemed to be bubbling since it was a Friday.
“A club seriously” that was the first thought that came to my mind now I know I wouldn’t eat again today.
We all came down from the car and advanced towards the club Tunji paid for our tickets as we entered the club. Mayowa held my hand and I felt the warmth exuding from him. The club was really banging people were dancing frantically to the latest club banger my eyes were automatically scanning for the safest place to be because I don’t want to be boxed in a bad place I looked at my room mate who was totally oblivious of my predicament and was literally fawning all over Tunji. I left her alone and making my way to where I think is safe enough for me. Mayowa didn’t hesitate before he followed me.
“Hope you are comfortable?” I nodded my head and he asked “what should I get for you?”
Smirnoff Ice.” He left for some few minutes and he returned with a Smirnoff Ice can in his hand. “Are you not taking anything?”
“No, I don’t drink alcohol.”
I was surprised. My curiosity kicked in, I started probing. “Are you a Muslim?”
He said “No.”
“So why don’t you take alcohol”?
“Nothing really, I just don’t really fancy it.”
Whispering, he said “don’t tell people. Most guys make fun of me because of it.” I laughed and told him “I don’t gossip, so, I can’t tell anyone.” In my mind, I was wondering if that ‘anyone’ included my Bunkie.
I felt dizzy a little bit, but I continued drinking thinking it would steady me. I looked around for Tunji and Dunni, but they were nowhere to be found. I let the thought of what might be happening ease off my mind and I continued enjoying myself.
He asked me to dance and I obliged willingly. After about half an hour of dancing, I felt real weak and I begged off. We went back to sit.
I had a nauseating feeling, and next thing, I literally saw stars. Everywhere was going around in kaleidoscope and I had this feeling of moving in and out of time. I held on to Mayowa and it was then I lost consciousness.
I woke up in a room, on a bed. My mouth tasted bitter and I started having hazy recollections of what happened. It was at that point that I noticed that I had nothing on me. I was stark naked!

Houdegbe North American University Students Turn Girl To Snake 4 Money

The Love of Money is the root of all evil, so says the holy bible. This has become evidently true with recent happenings in our society today, with series of kidnapping and all sort of crimes committed by the young generation of Nigerian Youths who ordinarily are meant to be worthy role models. Yesterday Afternoon, i got different disturbing messages from Houdegbe North American University Benin Republic(HNAUB) about the case of a guy who was arrested for money rituals around 3pm yesterday. The guy had turned a fellow female student to a snake using juju powers. Below is how the Narrator bares it all:

The guys are 100 Level Business Administration Students of my school(Houdegbe North American University Benin Republic), they're freshers who wants quick money and wants to oppress. The ritual had already been done and from the confession of the guy who was arrested after his accomplice had fled, they snake was supposed to start producing money for them yesterday before they were caught and the other guy bolted. So you understand that he was just unlucky to have been caught cause he didn't do it alone, they were two or more self.

Heard they travelled down to Port Novo for the rituals according to the arrested guy, pictures of two girls were also found in the box which contained the snake. The Snake in the box is actually one of the girls while the second girl's head had already been chopped off quoting the guy that was arrested. It was a girl that stays in the same compound with them that noticed their strange movements and reported to the police, some of their girlfriends have actually been declared missing for some days now but no one ever imagined that they could have been used for money rituals until today(yesterday). Everyone had thought the girls had done their "crayfish waka" as usual, not knowing that the girls have been used for rituals."

After listening to all that was narratted to me, i felt terribly bad and imagined what would be the fate of the parents and families of the girls. Is this how bad our youths have been so pollutted? Imagining the fact that these guys are actually freshers in the University, also checking from another angle is about the girls involved. Could it have been Possible that they never suspected these guys all along or were they so blinded by the money and flamboyant lifestyle they were enjoying with the guys?
