If I Get Evicted (from big brother), Biggie, But God Forbid, My Country People Will Insult Me And Kill Me – Melvin

After he refused to exercise his swap privilege as Head of House, thereby putting himself up for eviction come this Sunday, Melvin took time to explain to Big Brother why he had to make that choice.
And what he thinks will happen to him if he gets evicted.

Here’s what he told Biggie:
I’m fine. I’m ok. I’m doing well.. It was a difficult decision to make yesterday. I would have wanted to save myself but I couldn’t come up with a name last night.
This is the first time housemates are nominating me, I just had to do it, Biggie.
I have made the decision now, I just have to be optimistic that Africa will keep me in the game.  I don’t know what Africa thinks about me, though I try my best to make sure I’m pleasing Africa.
If I get evicted, Biggie but God forbid, my country people will insult me and kill me! This gamble is a rough one, Biggie.
If I get saved come Sunday, I’ll be happy. I can also say, I left my name there to see what Africa thinks about me.
I become too emotional a times. And Biggie, you always hurry me up and warn me during the swap. So I had to leave my name.
Truthfully speaking, this swapping is the part of the HOH that kills me and fixes me up.
Shout out to Africa at large and my country Nigeria.
I did what I gat to do, please vote me and keep me in the game.
One love, One blood… One Africa! Keep me in the game, please Africa.

Meanwhile, when Beverly was asked if she felt Melvin swapped with her name, she replied:
Melvin can’t swap wit my name because my country will shoot him! I don’t think its Feza, Dillish, Bimp. I feel he swapped Nando.

Abducted corps members in Rivers regain freedom

MEMBERS of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), who were kidnapped from Ogonokom community, Abua/Odual LGA of Rivers State have regained their freedom.
Reports reaching the Nigerian Tribune have said  that the three  corps members recently kidnapped in Rivers State have been freed by their abductors.

The corps members, Ogwuche Martins, Lijoka Richard and Nwachukwu Chinonye Esther, who were abducted at their lodge in Ogonokom, Abua-Odual Local Government, were released  exactly two weeks after their kidnap.

Narrating their ordeal, one of the victims who pleaded anonymity said that he was surprised at the attack as it was never expected that such a thing could happen to them. He narrated that everything happened in a jiffy and the next minute, they found themselves on an unknown island.

According to him,”it happened after I went outside to ease myself. Few minutes, later I heard a big bang on my door and some men came in with rifles.
They then led me to the waterside where the boat was. They also took two other people and took us to an unknown island.

“We didn’t know weather we were still in Rivers State or not. Since that time till our release, we were living in the bush. We never had our bath or washed our mouth. Though they didn’t torture us, they only threatened us to make calls to those who could give them money to pay our ransom.”
Also speaking, another victim, who explained that they were robbed of their valuables which included laptops, phones and some cash, confirmed that they were not molested in any manner.

“They pushed my door open. I knelt down immediately and started begging them. They took my phones and my systems. They now took me with them to the waterside. They took us to an unknown destination. It took us over  two hours to get to the island. So we didn’t know if we were still in Rivers State or not.

“On the island, there were nine guys who changed duty everyday. They threatened us in many ways but they never touched us or did anything to us. They consistently called our Local Inspector (LI) for negotiations which they started with 20 million naira.”
