Big Big Congratulations to the soon to be Man & Wife as Peter Okoye of P-Square proposed to his longtime girlfriend and mother of his 2 kids, Lola Omotayo.
Details are not clear but according to sources (instagram ), it looks like it happened at the Square Mansion in Lagos. The question was popped and she gladly said yes…. of course she would. Please the Range Rover wont hurt either
Some will say it’s about damn time… They’ve been together for over 5 years now, if we’re correct. Congrats to them both.

Fashola Burries his Dad today

 

The remains of Alhaji Ademola Fashola, the father of the Governor of Lagos State, were this afternoon laid to rest at the Vaults and Gardens Cemetery, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Prayers were offered for the repose of his soul at the Lagos Central Mosque, Lagos Island before he was taken to the Vaults and Gardens for burial.

Earlier in the day, the remains of Pa Fashola laid in state at his residence at Ladipo Labinjo Street, Surulere where sympathisers paid their last respects.
His corpse arrived at his residence from the mortuary in black Merceses Benz SUV at about 11:55am while a lying in state was later held in his honour at Surulere Senior Secondary School.

His burial was also witnessed by prominent Nigerians who came to pay their last respects to the deceased.

A Woman Give Birth With No Womb

Eight years after, wife of the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Port-Harcourt Rivers State, Evangelist (Dr) Nkechi Chinyere, has finally given birth to a bouncing baby girl.

 

Her conception and delivery have been described as miraculous by medical experts after she was diagnosed to be without a womb few years ago.

The baby arrived on Tuesday July, 23 around 10:10am in far -away Dallas in the United States of America,weighing 10 LBS and recorded as the heaviest child of the day in the hospital.

The baby is due in Nigeria anytime from now ahead of her dedication at the church’s headquarters on October 27.

The dedication will coincide with the Church’s 7th anniversary and Chinyere’s 40th birthday celebration.

Speaking through the Church’s Media Director, Mr. Gogo-Oguta Isaiah, OPM’s general overseer, Apostle (Dr) Chibuzor Chinyere, declared himself the happiest man on earth.

He expressed delight for surviving the insults of his elder sister who taunted him after discovering his wife’s medical status.

 The singer disclosed this in an interview with Encomium magazine. His words, “I’m in a very beautiful relationship and we are only taking it one step at a time. By the Grace of God, very soon she will be moving in’.

He further said that the relationship is a year old contrary to reports that they just started dating. “It is you journalists that just got to know because we’ve been in this relationship for a year. I didn’t just unveil her” Big congrats to Dr. Sid and Simi. We love weddings!

Bayelsa: Female Corps Member Attacked By Cultists, Has Hand Severed

Miss Folakemi Akinbode, a female corps member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was assaulted on Monday night and had her right hand chopped off.

Miss Akinbode, 26, hails from Ondo State, and is a Batch A Corps member serving in the Obuah community in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State. The young woman is the alumna of Nursing from the Madonna University, Elele in Rivers State.

The horrendous incident took place on Monday at around 8.30pm. The suspected cultists attacked Akinbode when she was returning to the Corps Lodge situated near the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobori, not far from Yenagoa.

According to a fellow corps member, the attacked woman was serving at the university teaching hospital for primary assignment, and the assault is a shock to many other corps members in the area.

Akinbode is presently receiving treatment at the Teaching Hospital.

The Paramount Ruler of the Community, the Ibolou XI of Obunagha, H.R.H Godsgive Apoh, confirmed the incident and condemned it. Furthermore, he summoned an emergency meeting of the Youth Vigilante Association to investigate and apprehend those involved in the attack.

Meanwhile, Mr Alex Akhigbe, the state police public relations officer, says that, though no arrest has been made yet, operatives have been deployed to track down the attackers

Great Nigerian Youth… How Far?” – Written by Charly Boy

A couple of days ago, self acclaimed area fada of Abuja entertainment, Charly Boy wrote an open letter to the Pope commending him and also discussing gay issues.

This time, his letter is addressed to the youths of Nigeria.

One of the many things God blessed me with would be the ability to go to sleep at will even if my

house is on fire. I consider that as a gift because this environment has murdered sleep for most Nigerians. How can we sleep when things are all falling apart around us? It saddens my heart to see the appalling state of our nation and the quick progressive decline in the quality of governance and the management of the polity.

Naija as it were has gone to the dogs and really, it’s only a matter of time before shit finally hits the fan. Because, we must hit rock-bottom before we can start to think of a Nigeria that is workable.
I have noticed lately that I am fast losing my gift, being able to fall asleep at will. It’s no longer happening for me like it use to. Thank God, I haven’t gotten to the point of popping different kinds of pills to be able to get some sleep. These days, I seem so consumed with the thoughts of how all of these injustices, poor leadership, the frustration, hopelessness, and despair amongst young Nigerians will all be resolved. How much longer can we all go on as if all is well.

The situations as appalling as they are reminds me of Asa’s song, “There is Fire on the Mountain, and no one seems to be on the Run” How much longer will it take our leaders to realise that they are sitting on a time Bomb. How much longer will it take the few good men and exceptional Nigerian youth to stop hiding under the bed, while the vile, the fraud, the gangsters, the 419ers, the thieves take over the polity?
