Jay-Z will be well pleased with the positive acceptance of his new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ and so will be a 16-year-old Canadian-Nigerian girl Ebony Oshunrinde who produced one of the rapper’s songs off the album.
Oshunrinde alias Wondagurl produced ‘Crown’, the eighth track of Jigga’s new LP. ‘It was crazy’, just people calling me, texting me and tweeting me all the time. My phone was just blowing up’, Wondagurl says.
Wondagurl caught attention in 2012 when she worked with popular producer Boi 1da who later helped her win the 2012 Battle of the Beatmakers competition.
She then made a name for herself when she scored a production on ‘Uptown’ by Travis Scott.
It was Scott who passed ‘Crown’ beat to Jay-Z who was quite impressed with the production and decided to record on it.
