Omotola Jalade-Ekeiende has lashed out at the Nigerian Federal Government on social network Twitter regarding the current state of the country.
The actress on Thursday, June 13, 2013
blew off steam on her Twitter page. In a quick rant, she questioned the
state of Nigerians concerning health care issues and job security and
more interestingly, why those elected in power have failed to do their
jobs…
‘Hmmm…. I keep asking. What is the Value of a Nigerian Life. What is the primary JOB of a Government?‘, the mother of four asked adding ‘SHAME
on Humans who pledge to serve fellow humans,get in2 POWER n ignore
their DUTIES,intimidate d citizens,becomn headboys of local schools’.
Omotola made the coveted TIME 100 list
looks to use her influential position to create some sort of awareness –
she tweeted at the Amnesty International Twitter account while
continuing with her probing questions – ‘Are Nigerians ENTITLED to health care benefits?what’s the way forward from maternal mortality for a start?‘, she wrote.
She also promised to continue with her NGO program Omotola Youth Empowerment Program (OYEP). ‘I
