Spanish Man kidnapped By Nigerian Lover

The Edo State Police Command has rescued a Spanish, Jose Anthonio Murili Turrillo who was kidnapped and held captive in a hotel room in Benin City since last Saturday by his Nigerian lover.. The victim was said to have been lured from Spain by 28 year-old , who was said to have been repatriated from Spain. Along with one Kenny Oyemwina, 25, they held the Spanish hostage and took all the money he had. Briefing journalists on the case in Benin, the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Folusho Adebanjo, said “investigation revealed that the female suspect is the Spanish lover who lured him from Spain to Nigeria and he was made to withdraw all the money he had in his account. “When the two suspects discovered that their victim had no money on him and in his account again, they forcefully asked him to call his sister in Spain to send €2000 to them before he will be allowed to go back to Spain.” The sister of the victim however “reported to INTERPOL Spain who contacted the Nigeria INTERPOL who in turn contacted Edo State Command.” photoAccording to the Police Commissioner, the two suspects have been arrested and would soon be prosecuted. In another incident, two suspects, Iyen Osahon 19, and Esochuckwu Okorie, 22, have been nabbed by the police for molesting a 16 year old girl in a hotel room after drugging her. The victim whose name and identity was not revealed by the police for security reasons, however lives to tell the story. The victim confessed to the police that she knew Osahon through Facebook, the same manner Cynthia Osokogu met her killers. The suspects who were said have made confessional statements, would soon be charged to court.

A FRISKY woman was mauled to death by a lion as she had sex with her boyfriend in the African bush. Sharai Mawera was enjoying a passionate moment with her lover when the Big Cat struck. Sharai’s partner, who has not been identified, ran off unclad in a bid to raise the alarm. But local reports say tragic market worker Sharai was killed at the scene in Kariba, northern Zimbabwe. A friend told My Zimbabwe: “Unfortunately the woman was mauled to death by the lion, but her boyfriend managed to escape unclad.” The pal said Sharai and her fisherman boyfriend would meet at their favourite beauty spot in the wild. He said: “The two were romping when the incident occurred. The lion came from behind and roared. “The guy managed to escape before stopping at a distance where he witnessed his companion being attacked. Police officers and armed rangers rushed to the scene where they discovered Sharai’s mauled remains. The source said: “Cops and officers attended the scene and fired a single shot before getting to the spot. “The woman had already been killed. She had bloody bruises all over her body. Her neck and tummy had been mauled.” Rangers launched a hunt for the lion following the tragedy, amid concern the same animal may have killed a local man who disappeared at the weekend. The remains of the victim were found on the outskirts of the town, which lies near the Zambezi river. Police believe the man, who has not been named, was eaten by a lion as he walked home from a nightclub. Experts believe the fact Sharai was mauled rather than eaten suggests the same beast was responsible for both attacks – but was not overly hungry.

Ghanaian Footballer Bathed With Acid

YAW BEEKO, a 29-year-old footballer from Asante-Akyem area in the Ashanti Regionm Ghana, has been bathed with acid by an aggressive husband, Kwame Amoah, who accused Beeko of allegedly flirting with his wife. Amoah, a miner, committed the act at 12:30pm on November 11, 2012 at Manso Kwabenaso in the Amansie West District, shortly after the complainant's arrival in the community to join his teammates. Amoah was remanded in prison custody when he appeared before a circuit court in Bekwai presided over by Daniel Kwaku Obeng on Monday. Kwasi Amoah, also 29, was caged to re-appear on March 20, 2013 after pleading not guilty to the charge of assault and causing harm. The miner lost his cool that afternoon and subsequently launched the deadly attack on the footballer, who had joined his teammates in his manager's residence where the accused was a tenant. Beeko, who lost an eye due to the incident, is still on admission at the St. Martin's Catholic Hospital at Agroyesum where he was rushed to for treatment. The prosecutor, Detective Sergeant Stephen Ofori, informed the court that Yaw Beeko became a victim of the unfortunate incident while he was washing his apparel shortly after his arrival in the community. According to him, the complainant, on November 11, 2012, lodged into the residence of his team manager to await a football match between his team and another at Manso-Kwabenaso. Upon arrival, prosecution stated, Beeko decided to wash his clothes as they were dirty due to the dusty road leading to the community. Sergeant Ofori narrated that the accused person, who was a tenant in the house, emerged and confronted the complainant, accusing him of flirting with his (Amoah's) wife. Amoah, who was armed with concentrated acid in a Tampico container, immediately poured the fluid on the complainant's face and body without verifying if the rumour was true or not. Prosecution added that the aggressive man, apparently not satisfied with his action, chased Amoah, who was running from danger. Sergeant Ofori said it took the intervention of people around to save the victim. The case was later reported to the police, while the victim was taken to the St. Martin's Hospital at Agroyesum.
