Toni Braxton quits music
Toni Braxton‘s twenty-year music
career has come to an end. The “He Wasn’t Man Enough” singer made the
announcement during a Friday, Feb. 8, appearance on Good Morning America.
“It’s not affecting me, making me feel that thing I’ve always felt
when I perform. It’s leaving me,” Braxton said. “I’m not sure what’s
going on in my life. Maybe a female mid-life crisis? My heart isn’t in
it anymore. I hate to say that.”
Known for monster hits like “Un-Break My Heart” and “Breathe Again,”
the eight-time Grammy winner released her seventh studio album, Pulse, in 2010. Braxton, 45, further explained her decision to abandon music in an interview with The Grio.
“For what I do I have to love it. I have to feel that excitement and
it’s gone,” Braxton explained. “I’m just not going to do any albums
anymore; maybe touring occasionally here and there because I love
performing, but not as much as I did in the past. But no new projects.”
Braxton won’t be stepping out of the spotlight entirely. The reality star and Twist of Faith actress
said she plans to further her film career by taking on more challenging
roles. “I would like to play a lesbian. I don’t know why. And do a
whole make-out scene and the whole thing; just something completely
different than people would expect from me,” Braxton revealed. “Not a
lipstick lesbian, either.”

Banky W unvelied the artwork on his Instagram page on February 7, and also 12 tracks off the album.
