283 Animals Removed From Ohio Man’s House After Stench Covered His Property

Humane society members wearing protective masks removed nearly 300 animals including pigeons, chickens and rabbits from an Ohio man’s reeking house this week.

Most of the animals are expected to survive including some that were sick, Sheila Marquis, an officer with the Humane Society of Dayton, Ohio, told Reuters on Saturday.

Workers on Thursday took away 60 pigeons, chickens and roosters from the house in Huber Heights, a suburb of Dayton. They returned the following day for 223 animals including 100 pigeons and 30 rabbits.
The sheer number of pigeons, which can carry airborne diseases, created a health hazard inside the house, Marquis said.

Authorities were tipped off by complaints about a stench coming from the property.
The animals’ owner, who has not been identified, was very cooperative and knowledgeable about the birds, which included homing pigeons, Marquis said.

She said she thinks he just got overwhelmed taking care of so many animals.
“He told us he took some animals from other people and other pigeon organizations. That’s how the cycle happens. He kept getting more birds and building more cages,” Marquis said.
The man will be allowed to keep two dogs and some cats living in the house.

There was no word on whether he will be charged with animal neglect or abuse, a misdemeanor for the first offense in Ohio. Huber Heights has a ban on farm animals but does not limit the number of pets residents can own. [Reuters]

My Lips & B**bs Are My Greatest Assets – Actress, Liz Anjorin

liz_anjorin
Top Yoruba actress and producer, Liz Anjorin who is now being referred to as ‘Kofo’ has confessed that her lips and b**bs are her greatest assets.
On marriage, she is like a sealed package; one doesn’t know what is inside until one opens it.
The mother of one who is doing well business wise said that the two gifts of nature are the weapons men see that attract her to them.
Hear her response when she was asked for her kind of man, “I can’t create a man, so I don’t see any reason why I should prefer a dark or fair guy, as long as he is good to me, he is also kind and he does not listen to hearsay.
Most of the broken homes you hear about in the entertainment industry is based on hearsay because most of the guys who fall in love with actresses see them and admire them, but the moment they take them home, their parents start revolting that they want to get married to an actress.
Honestly, the wife that has been kicked out four years ago will now come back to say that one actress wants to steal her husband.

Obama Renews Calls For Gay Rights

US President, Mr. Barrack Obama, has renewed his calls for gays and lesbians to be treated “like anyone else under the law”.

As part of his inaugural address, the US leader said: “Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law — for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well,” Obama said.
The comment was likely as intended for the justices of the Supreme Court gathered on the inaugural platform as for the members of Congress who sat nearby. The court agreed last month to hear arguments on two cases involving same-Sêx marriage, opening the door for a ruling with sweeping implications.
Later in the speech, the president compared the struggle for immigration reform and gay rights to the civil-rights battles for gender and racial equality in the past century.
“We, the people, declare today that the most evident of truths — that all of us are created equal — is the star that guides us still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls and Selma and Stonewall,” Obama said.
The Stonewall riots were sparked by police harassment at a gay bar in Greenwich Village in 1969, and are considered the precursor to the modern gay-rights movement.
Gay rights’ groups were quick to praise the president’s comments, with Evan Wolfson, the founder of pro-gay-marriage group Freedom to Marry, saying he “applauds our president and the moral leadership he has shown.”
“In his second inaugural today, President Obama traced the moral arc from Seneca Falls to Selma to Stonewall, and rightly exalted the struggle for the freedom to marry as part of America’s moral commitment to equality, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” Wolfson said in a statement.
Human Rights Campaign President Chad Griffin said he thought it was appropriate that Obama discussed gay marriage moments after having taken the oath of office on Bibles belonging to Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr.
“By lifting up the lives of LGBT families for the very first time in an inaugural address, President Obama sent a clear message to LGBT young people from the Gulf Coast to the Rocky Mountains that this country’s leaders will fight for them until equality is the law of the land,” Griffin said in a statement.
African-American leaders also praised the discussion of same-Sêx marriage within the umbrella of an overarching push for civil rights. The Rev. Jesse Jackson said that “in the American tent, all are welcome.”

A 2-year-old boy was on Monday kidnapped at gunpoint while riding in his parents’ black Lexus SUV with registration number LSD 374 AV on his way to school. He was with the driver identified as Daniel, and a private Nurse when the incident happened. According to eyewitnesses, the four abductors wore masks and they had been in the vicinity for some time awaiting the arrival of their victim, adding that the black Mitsubishi Montero SUV which was later identified as the kidnappers’ was parked about seven buildings away from the victim’s house on arrival.
A source said, “Truly we noticed that the black Montero SUV was parked in the area but we did not suspect any ulterior motive because the occupants were playing and chasing one another around their vehicle.
“But when the SUV carrying the boy and others was approaching, they blocked the Lexus SUV. We noticed that the driver resisted the abductors but when they threatened to break the windscreen, he opened the door and he saw them carrying guns. They threw the nurse under the SUV car, snatched the boy and sped off in their car.”
Speaking to PM News, the nurse, Mrs Adeyemo said, “When I refused to surrender Emmanuel to them, the assailants hit me with their gun b*tt several times. I slumped and they threw me under our vehicle, snatched the boy and sped off in their SUV.”
Father of the boy and proprietor of Barachel Group of Schools, Mr Olusegun Alonge confirmed the abduction on Tuesday, lamenting, “Yes, my son was being taken to school when kidnappers seized my dear little Emmanuel Oluwatunmise Alonge”. He declined to speak further on the incident as he was emotionally overwhelmed, PM News reported.
Sources close to the Alonge family disclosed that Emmanuel’s parents had to wait fifteen years after marriage before giving birth to their baby boy who is now in the custody of the kidnappers.
Reacting to the abduction, Baale of Oluwo, the community where the Alonges live, Chief S. A. Sulaimon said the community was thrown into pandemonium when gunshots were heard during the kidnap incident on Monday. He therefore appealed to the state government to provide adequate security in the area.
