Wande Coal leaves Mavin Records, what next
Interesting news reaching me is at Wande Coal, aka Black Diamond, has stopped working with Mavin Records although he still preserves DJ Spinall as his official DJ.
The source disclosed that Wande Coal was never even officially signed to Mavin Records but was only working hand-in-hand with the Don Jazzy led record label.
This relationship however is said to have been ended and Wande Coal has fully-floated his record label Black Diamond Entertainment.
This development was confirmed by his latest single Kilaju which dropped yesterday; Don Jazzy never said a word about the song like he does normally with new jams from his Mavin camp.
Wande Coal was made to do all the online promotion himself with no support from the entire Mavin Records gang including their online PRs.
The source also says that the reason Wande did not sign with Mavin when the record label launched was that he strongly believes Mavin Records cannot move his career to the next level and disagreement over sharing of monies with Wande not willing to shift ground on 10% with Mavin asking for 20%.
However, Wande Coal is also still working with his manager, Nana.
On a related note, Wande Coal has never mentioned the word Mavin on any track he has been on

Mavin’s first Lady – Tiwa Savage is claiming to be the female Boss of Nigerian music.
When asked on this week’s edition of Rubbin’ Minds, who she considered the biggest threat to Tiwa Savage amongst the female vocalists, she replied, “none actually.”
“In my head the people I compete against are the male artistes” she stated boldly and further adding that “for me I look at the bigger picture fortunately.”
“I look at people like Wizkid, Iyanya, Tuface, D’banj, Ice Prince. They are getting MOBOs, BET awards, MTVs, so I’m like I’m coming for you guys” she stated.
But she wasn’t all cold as she still gave kudos to other female artistes saying “we are working harder to close the gap.”

According to her, her commitment to ‘Tinsel’ is on a first-call basis; which simply means that the production is considered above any other work commitments she may have. Professionalism, integrity and plain common sense dictate that I would not play a character similar to Sheila Ade-Williams in any other production.
When asked if she would quit acting, she replied “Quit acting? Not in this lifetime. I’m going to be acting until I am old and frail. And even after that, for as long as I have my faculties in good working condition, I will still be involved in communication in some way: writing, producing, radio show hosting etc.

She further said she’s a budding farmer. “I’ve always wanted to own something that was 100% mine, which could not be affected by someone else’s whims and caprices. I also strongly believe that in the years to come food and water will become a major deal. I started out with a tiny snail farm in my backyard. It was an experiment, to see if I could do it and if it was something I could sustain.”

Sperm Quality Degrades After 35 – Study A new study just sped up the biological clock for men.
According to researchers at Reproductive Technology Laboratories in Los Angeles who analyzed sperm from 5081 men between the ages of 16 and 72, sperm quality starts to decrease after 35, which means men have harder time conceiving and carry an increased risk of miscarriage for their partners. Previous studies put the age of sperm deterioration at 40.
“Whether it's 35 or 40, the message from this and other papers is that men should be aware of age-related changes in their reproductive system and if they wish to become fathers they shouldn't leave it too late,” said Allan Pacey, a fertility specialist.

Emelia Brobbey who has been in the news for an alleged shoplifting
incident in London has arrived in Ghana. She was met at the airport by
many colleague actors who came to support her, chanting songs of victory
on her arrival. She said in a televised press briefing that she had
been wrongfully represented in the press. She said the incident happened
when a bracelet accidentally fell into her baby carriage without
knowing it until the alarm beeped when she was about leaving the shop,
to signify that she had on her items that had not been paid for. She
said she explained to the security and even paid for it when the shop
attendant asked if she wanted to keep the bracelet. She hinted that she
was pursued later by police after she had given her address because she

He refused to give further details about the album.
Wande has so far had a good year with release of two hit singles, “The Kick” And “Rotate”. He also had a fine outing on the Star Music Trek and has topped several music charts with the video of “The Kick”.

Pokello Nare has arrived in her home country Zimbabwe.
Pokello who got evicted from the house along with Sierra Leone’s Bassey last Sunday, arrived at the Harare International Airport on Wednesday July 24 where she was welcomed by scores of fans.
Clad in ‘team Pokello’ outfits, the fans were led by her official support group ‘Team Pokello‘ along with her family, ten-year old son Gerald, and fellow housemate Munyaradzi Hakeem Mandaza.
Pokello hugged and shook hands with them with tears in her eyes.
NET gathered that she was later driven away from the airport to a hotel in a white stretch Hummer limousine.
The warm reception from her fans could
imply that the former BBA housemate who was being haunted by leaked sex
tape may have succeeded in clearing her name.

role of identical twins separated at birth and given to two different
